party planning tips: Start the Party Early...just for you

Setting up for a party can take some time.  Not to mention you need to look presentable yourself.  So here's a tip - pretend that the party starts earlier than it does.  If you give yourself a goal to be ready half an hour before the guests arrive it will leave you time to deal with unexpected delays and let's you relax for a minute.

No matter how well you plan, it's not uncommon to have something surprise you while you're setting up for a party of any kind.  You may have forgotten something, something might break, or maybe you're stuck in traffic on the way to the venue.  These kinds of things cause stress, but will cause less stress if you know you have a 30 minute buffer.

Even if your setup and preparations go flawlessly you'll still enjoy the extra time to kick back and relax before your guests arrive.  A calm and relaxed host is going to have (and be) more fun than a frazzled mess of a person.  And the best hosts want to enjoy the party as much as their guests, right?

Using party printables is a good way to prepare for a party in advance.  You can have them printed and cut well before the day of the party, making set up a breeze.  Check out our shop to see if our printables can help make your next party a success!
